5 Ways Families Can Enjoy March Break in Milton This Year

Published on March 9, 2022 at 1:22 p.m.
Spring Break is right around the corner and the Town of Milton has plenty of family fun ways to keep residents entertained.
Here are some ideas for activities that families can add to their to-do list this year.
go skating
Even if the end of winter seems to be approaching, going skating is always a good idea. Public skating is available at Milton Sports Center and Sherwood Community Centre. The Town also offers various free hockey programs such as shinny or Stick ‘N Puck.
Parks and trails
As the weather warms up and the snow begins to melt, March Break is a great time to visit one of Milton’s many parks and trails, dog parks or sports fields.
Residents can also view Milton’s trails and bike paths using the city’s interactive map tool.
Support a local restaurant
Spring Break is a great time to visit a local establishment and try some new food or drink. There are several restaurants along Main St. that make great get-togethers or places for family outings.
Visit the Farmers Market
The winter version of the Milton Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will run until April 30, 2022.
It’s a great one-stop-shop for local fresh produce, including fruits, meats, homemade sauces, baked goods, flowers, popcorn and more.
Go for a bike ride
The Fix, powered by Velofix, is a full-service bike shop in Milton that allows residents to rent bikes.
They are also the rental bike provider for the track cycling activities that take place at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre.
Those without access to a bike can head to the store to pick up a rental one and take it for a ride on one of Milton’s trails.
